Vodafone

Vodafone and Kordia joined forces in September 2011 to offer their customers a seamless team – providing the best of breed mobile and network solutions to New Zealand businesses.

For customers, the authenticity of the relationship is a real benefit over competitor offers. As opposed to a one-off approach for a single RFP, Kordia and Vodafone have made an ongoing commitment to work together, which is shown in the joint face presented to both current and potential clients.

As a global leader in the mobile space with a strong brand presence, Vodafone is giving Kordia access to their extensive customer base and a much larger sales force. In return, they are gaining instant credibility in the WAN space, with a partner well-known for reliable and robust products – a key consideration for enterprises sourcing data networks. Kordia is also enabling Vodafone to pursue the growing managed IP market, currently dominated by competitors including Telecom and TelstraClear.

Vodafone Director of Sales, Grant Hopkins, says the partnership ensures a high grade of service and allows Vodafone and Kordia to respond jointly to RFPs, meaning customers have a more cohesive process and ultimately a better result.

“By partnering, Vodafone and Kordia can offer combined solutions that ultimately result in an enhanced and differentiated capability for customers,” says Grant.

The first customer to benefit from the partnership was DB Breweries, who selected the Vodafone-Kordia partnership after a formal RFP process to deliver a full service solution including Vodafone mobile, mobile broadband, WAN services (Kordia OnKor) and Avaya IP Telephony.

Following the DB implementation, the Vodafone-Kordia partnership has had a number of new business wins, including Tegel and Stevenson Group as new OnKor WAN customers, in addition to the existing mobile services they had with Vodafone.
