Developing and executing Kordia's public relations and overall communications strategy.

Kordia delivers business-critical technology and network solutions across New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific. We specialise in the telecommunications, cyber security, broadcast, maritime and media sectors and have been delivering innovative and reliable solutions to customers for over 60 years. We have a strong presence trans-tasman with over 700 dedicated staff in the Kordia Group.
 
Reporting through to the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, the Head of Communications will hold overall responsibility for developing and executing Kordia’s public relations and overall communications strategy.
 
You will be working closely with our appointed PR agency to further develop our PR plan that raises Kordia’s profile in key target media and ensures Kordia and its appointed spokespeople are recognised as experts in their field. You will be providing ongoing communications guidance and counsel to key internal stakeholders, including the CEO and Executive Leadership team. Facilitating and managing regular internal staff communication along with Kordia’s public website and social media sites will also be a key part to your role.
 
Equipped with a relevant communications/PR qualification, you will ideally have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in corporate communications. A natural communicator and influencer, Kordia will look to you for best practice advice, guidance and support on engaging with media and sharing our stories. You will have excellent writing skills and the ability to tailor communications to different channels. Your understanding of the NZ media landscape will be second to none.
