1. Policy Statement
The purpose of this policy is to establish and communicate Kordia’s position regarding COVID-19 vaccination and its implications in our workplaces and the nature of the work we do. It is based on our obligation to provide a work environment without risks to health and safety, so far as is reasonably practicable. This policy also reflects Kordia’s role as a provider of essential services, including safety of life services and support for emergency services and lifeline utilities, plus mission-critical networks and services.
Kordia strongly believes that vaccination is our best possible protection against COVID-19 and therefore is critical for its people, contractors, customers, ongoing operations and for the industry more broadly.
The Policy aims to provide our employees, contractors and customers with consistency of protection against COVID-19 in Kordia premises and other environments required for work. It is a reasonable additional control for our people against exposure to COVID-19 and limiting transmission from our people to others.
For these reasons, Kordia has determined that, from 1 January 2022 all individuals (including employees, customers, consultants, contractors, suppliers and visitors) must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to attending any Kordia workplace including any office, base, warehouse or site, any Kordia vehicle, or prior to attending any third party location on Kordia business (Kordia location).
2. Vaccination requirement
From 1 January 2022, anyone attending a Kordia location, including customers, consultants, contractors, suppliers and visitors, will be required to provide satisfactory evidence of vaccination.
Evidence of vaccination must be provided either through a pre-qualification process prior to visiting a Kordia location or scanning in upon arrival. Further information regarding the pre-qualification process will be communicated separately to consultants, contractors and suppliers.
Kordia may request that an individual provide further evidence if it is not satisfied with the evidence of vaccination they have provided.
In the event that an individual is unable to provide evidence of their vaccination status, the individual will not be allowed to enter Kordia premises.
Kordia will only collect evidence of vaccination status as required to enable Kordia to manage its operations while complying with its health and safety duties in the workplace.
4. Third Party Requirements
Kordia recognises that there may be circumstances where third parties, such as customers, suppliers, vendors, and other third parties, may direct or require that our employees and contractors are fully vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination as a condition of entry to a third party location.
Kordia’s policy is to respect and comply with third party requirements.
Kordia employees and contractors who are not fully vaccinated or do not have proof of vaccination will not be permitted to attend third party locations on behalf of Kordia.
Kordia will discuss other specific third party requirements for visiting third party locations with its employees and contractors as required.
5. Policy changes
This policy may be amended, withdrawn or replaced by Kordia in its sole discretion.
