The role

We are seeking a Provisioning Engineer to join the Customer Enablement team based in Auckland. In this role you will be responsible to provision and de-provision, design, configure, test and deploy Ethernet, IP and Voice related services and customer end equipment, ensuring services are built consistently at high quality, while also keeping costs under control and to ensure that the company deliver an exceptional customer service.
This role will report through to the Network and Security Consultant Team Leader and will play a key role in the successful design and implementation of customer solutions across a wide range of Kordia services based on various technologies.
More specifically, you'll be involved in the:

  • Analysis and defining of customer requirements by working with the customer's technical or Kordia internal teams as required
  • Preparing, designing, configuring, testing and managing Add, Move, Change and Disconnect orders for Data (including Copper, Fibre, MPLS, Ethernet, radio) and Voice (including SIP) technologies and customer premise equipment
  • Preparing and modifying configuration designs and scripts based on the official documentation and standards
  • Remotely troubleshooting customer premise equipment and networking issues, including routing, bandwidth utilisation, latency, DNS, and other network access problems
  • Documentation, verification and implementation of changes.
  • Internal integration testing, customer acceptance and migration testing

The person

We are looking for candidates who have a passion for good customer service along with the desire to grow professionally.

Ideally, you'll have

  • Cisco certifications, CCNA as a minimum (CCNP and/or NSE4 a bonus)
  • Solid networking experience along with hands-on experience with MPLS/IP networks
  • Fundamental knowledge of Routing Protocols and Hardware Platforms including BGP, OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, TCP/IP, Cisco, Nokia, Fortinet, RAD
  • Demonstrated experience with the various layers of a carrier’s infrastructure and services, from customer premise equipment to provider edge
  • Strong planning, analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills
  • Great communication and ability to delivery exceptional Kordia Experience
