Responsible for the effective and efficient utilisation of Kordia's owned or leased building space and tower/pole aperture.
We specialise in the telecommunications, cyber security, cloud migration, broadcast and maritime sectors. We have a strong presence Trans-Tasman with over 700 dedicated staff in the Kordia Group. Kordia has more than 200 communications sites and supporting infrastructure covering the full length and breadth of NZ.
The role reports into the Head of Operations and is responsible for the full management of co-locations on Kordia Networks and Infrastructure assets. This includes responsibility for the on-going growth of Kordia's co-location opportunities without impacting existing systems or services.
After customer requests have been received via our Sales team, you will be supported by our internal subject matter experts to coordinate and facilitate the process. Our SMEs include Electrical, Structural and Network Engineers along with the Property and Field Services teams.
Your understanding of radio network infrastructure/technology will enable you to assess the feasibility of new (network infrastructure) co-location requests from our customers as well as managing the day to day allocation of building rack space. This includes the oversight of the use of tower and pole aperture to ascertain if new business at Kordia sites is feasible, estimating the costs and maintaining accurate records.
Who we are looking for
A broad understanding of RF technologies as related to Television and FM radio Broadcast systems, Microwave radio networks, Cellular and radio communications systems. Knowledge of telecommunications digital network systems useful.
Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications or Electrical Engineering or other suitable qualifications an advantage
