 26 September 2018

Kordia Group has appointed Anna Ferguson to the newly created role of GM of People and Culture.

Ferguson joins Kordia from consulting company Bain & Co, where she has served as Head of Human Resources since 2012. Her appointment is effective as of 1 September 2018.

According to Kordia Group CEO, Scott Bartlett, Ferguson is a highly experienced HR practitioner and with a career spanning more than 15 years, she brings a wealth of experience to her new role.

“During her tenure at Bain & Co, the company was consistently recognised as one of the best places to work – this is a huge achievement for any business and is certainly something we’d like to replicate here at Kordia,” he notes.

Bartlett adds that Ferguson is particularly skilled in the areas of change management, employee engagement, professional development, diversity, as well as employment risk management.

“These are recognised as crucial components in achieving a motivated, capable and satisfied workforce. I have no doubt her experience and capabilities will prove invaluable to Kordia Group as we continue our focus on fostering a winning culture and a work environment which attracts and retains in-demand professionals across our Networks, Cyber Security, Media and Maritime Divisions.”

A University of Sydney Industrial Relations and Human Resources graduate, Ferguson will also be joining Kordia Group’s Executive Leadership Team.

“Having someone of Anna’s calibre to represent our people and our culture on the Executive Leadership Team is a positive step forward for our business,” says Bartlett.

Although based in the company’s Rhodes Sydney office, Ferguson will apply her talents to Kordia Group’s operations on both sides of the Tasman.

“I’m thrilled to take on this challenging new role for Kordia and I look forward to making a positive impact on the company,” says Ferguson. “My key focus will to develop and execute a People Strategy that encompasses enhanced employee engagement initiatives, diversity initiatives and more. Kordia is already a great place to work, but my goal is to make it the best.”

A member of the invitation-only International HR Directors Forum and the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI), Ferguson is also a certified Mental Health First Aid provider and holds a Workplace Health and Safety communication and consultation certification.
