Field Engineer

Kordia is one of Australasia's largest Telecommunications Systems Integration service delivery organisations.  We specialise in designing, building and operating challenging and critical telecommunications systems throughout New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific.

The role:

As a Field Engineer in our Solutions team, you will be based in Grenada North, working alongside our Wellington team of experts reporting directly through to our Wellington Technical Field Team Leader.

You'll be involved in installation, maintenance and fault rectification covering the upper North Island region across both broadcast and telecommunications customers.  There will also be some occasional project work covering anything from a cellular site build to customer network installations.

The role often requires you to be out on the road solo, so you'll need to feel comfortable working in that capacity also.

What we are looking for:

Someone who'll fit into our inclusive, friendly team environment.  

Ideally you will have

• 5-10 years technical experience in either the broadcast or telecommunications industry
• Experience across RF, Data, ICT and/or Broadcast systems/infrastructure 
• An RF/ICT technical qualification and Limited Electrical Registration
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills  
• The ability to participate in an after-hours callout system (typically 1 week in 5) 
• NZ Residency
• A current NZ Drivers Licence
• Preparedness to complete a full medical assessment prior to employment
• Preparedness to return a favourable MOJ / Police check prior to employment
