Reliable indoor mobile connectivity

In today’s hyper-connected world, poor mobile coverage isn’t just inconvenient - it’s a business risk. But the major challenge is that most buildings weren’t (and often still aren’t) designed with mobile connectivity in mind.

Even when a signal does make it inside, capacity issues often arise. Large crowds at events or transport hubs can put a strain on mobile networks, leading to dropped calls and sluggish data speeds.

We specialise in designing and deploying DAS (Distributed Antenna System) solutions that ensure reliable, high-capacity mobile coverage - even in the most challenging environments. Discover how our Mobile Network Operator approved designs are transforming inbuilding connectivity across New Zealand, including landmark projects like the One New Zealand Stadium at Te Kaha, PwC Tower at Commercial Bay and ANZ Centre.

Smart Design. Seamless Connectivity.

What Sets Our DAS Apart

No Deadzones
Materials like reinforced concrete, insulation, and metallised glass can significantly weaken mobile signals from the outside world. This challenge is especially pronounced with 5G, as the higher-frequency bands are less effective at penetrating physical barriers compared to older technologies. Our DAS solutions bring mobile connectivity into your building, for ubiquitous coverage within your environment.

Robust Design
Large crowds at events or transport hubs can put a strain on mobile networks, leading to dropped calls and sluggish data speeds. In workplace environments, high-bandwidth applications such as video conferencing and real-time collaboration tools only add to the strain, particularly during peak hours.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do you determine if my building needs a DAS, and what’s involved in the planning process?

We begin with a detailed site survey to assess the existing mobile coverage and quality in your building. From there, we use industry-standard predictive computer-aided modelling to design a tailored solution. This solution is then presented to the Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) to start the approval process. Early engagement with your architects, engineers and building managers during this planning process as well as with the MNOs ensures seamless integration and a fit-for-purpose solution.

What’s the typical DAS project timeline, and can the system scale with future building changes?

Typical project timeframes depend on the scale of the implementation, for example, large buildings can take 9~12 months to install and commission once the solution has had MNO approval, whereas smaller establishments can take 4~6 months to implement. Our designs can be scaled to allow for practical expansion and future upgrades should that be a desired outcome for your building.

Will the DAS support all major NZ mobile networks and future technologies?

Our designs are approved by Spark, One NZ, and 2degrees, and are fully 5G-ready. We keep a close eye on future mobile technologies; our solutions balance the need to consider future technologies while not over-building to include potential technologies that are far in the horizon. This helps provide a cost-effective DAS that has a sufficient and practical lifespan for your mobile coverage needs.

How does DAS improve performance in high-traffic areas and for high-bandwidth applications?

We engineer for both coverage and quality, ensuring strong, consistent signal even in dense areas like lobbies or conference rooms. This supports smooth video conferencing, IoT, and other data-heavy applications.

How is the system approved and integrated with existing infrastructure?

Kordia manages the full Mobile Network Operator (MNO) approval process and coordinates with your team to ensure the DAS works alongside your existing systems without interference and integrates into your building infrastructure in a staged and managed manner. We also maintain ongoing relationships with MNOs for long-term support.
