Maintenance and Energy Manager

The role

Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Maintenance and Energy Manager is responsible for proactively directing and co-ordinating the maintenance programme for Kordia core platforms and infrastructures. This is to ensure our assets remain resilient and operational by maintaining systems, policies, reporting and compliance of all platforms and infrastructure to minimise risk.  It also includes strategic oversight, planning and management of Kordia’s energy and environmental asset systems performance and to meet Kordia’s strategic objectives and operational requirements.
Key duties include:

• Directing the overall maintenance programme of platforms, buildings and assets, including core networks and linking, energy & environmental systems, lines, towers, bridges, culverts, structures, roads, etc.
• Managing and co-ordinating our energy and environmental assets procurement, deployment, refresh, replacement and retirement of assets throughout their life-cycle operation and energy systems performance.
• Managing continuous improvement and efficiency programmes to reduce cost to serve as measured by our agreed key metrics.
• Managing smaller energy and environmental projects or parts of larger projects.
• Assessing and managing risks associated with asset portfolio.
• Ensuring budgetary accountabilities, both operational and capital expenditure are achieved
• Ensuring Health and Safety compliance across Kordia building sites, including site security, hazard reporting, safety of property and asset usage. Eliminate, isolate or minimise risk across all sites to achieve a zero-harm environment

 The person
 
We are targeting candidates with the following experience

• A solid and extensive track record as a maintenance manager of key infrastructure assets
• A background in the telco industry (much preferred)
• Experience in budgeting and handling of commercial terms is desired
• Excellent communication skills, ability to negotiate and problem solve
• Experience in Project and Program Management
